Hi I have a 2014 FJ Cruiser and I took out the factory stereo and installed a new one. However I would like to use the factory installed backup camera den hook it up to the aftermarket stereo. I do not know which wire is for the backup camera because the OEM mirror also has an auto dimming function. I have researched all over and cannot find the wiring diagram for this model car for the backup camera. Any suggestions? I do know I need to cut the wire in half and I have to pull the wire between the roof and the felt of the car and pull it out but how would I bring the wire down all tucked into the sides connect it to the aftermarket stereo? Thanks!

Welcome to 2CarPros.

I was able to find the entire schematic for the components you are looking for. However, I had to break it into three separate pictures because if its size. I made sure to overlap the pictures so you can follow them from one to the next.

Let me know if this is what you needed.

Take care,
Joe

There are four that come from the camera, brown, black, red, and white. Is that what you needed?

Let me know,

Joe

Hey on the picture I posted I do not know which one is for the backup camera. For example the red and silver one and all the other ones and even if I did find it how would I connect it to the aftermarket radio?

Welcome back:
The four that I indicated I see in your picture. They are direct from the camera. As far as which ones will connect to the new system, I would need to sit and study the schematic that came with the new system.

I am really sorry, I have no idea what exactly you are working with. I hope you understand. However, the wires I indicated, I see going into the plug in your picture, and according to my schematic, they all come from the camera.

Okay, thanks and I did all the wiring. However, no video is showing but when I put the car in reverse the screen turns black.

You have to determine which of the wires is for the video send. Honestly, this isn't something that a mechanic gets into. At this point, you are taking me into uncharted territory. I wish I could tell you exactly which one is the video send from the camera.
