External voltage regulator wiring, need good power source?

I need to find a good power source to tap into. I need the power source for the external voltage regulator to be tied into the ignition, so it has a different output when the key is off. My battery will drain completely within a day otherwise.

You can tap into any of the main three power wires coming from the ignition switch or where they lead into the PDC. The wiring diagrams below will show you where. Either the blk/org, blk/wht or the drkblu wire should do it. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
