1) The engine is really loud for about 15 seconds from a cold start and then sounds really quiet.
2) When accelerating after a cold start. I hear a rhythmic clicking noise that increases in speed and gets quieter as I accelerate.
3) When I come to a stop, I smell strong exhaust fumes in the cabin.
4) The car tends to lurch when idling and is periodically hesitant when starting from a stop.
I realize 1 and 4 might be normal for a turbocharger. I just bought the car 5 days ago from a Toyota dealership, but they are a 2 hour 45-minute drive away. I'm trying to get an idea of what is wrong before I drive it up there. Thank you!
