Charcoal canister overflowed while not running for several days, started right up but after a few blocks stalled.started right up but continues to stall after a short distance. Replaced stock inline fuel filter and vacuum line that leads to canister. Still starts right up but stalls after short distances.

Hello,

The charcoal canister has a valve on top that sounds like it has failed. This will pull raw gas into the engine and make it stall after a short time.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

HI, I took my pickup for inspection and it failed. It came out with a Aveporative System NOT READY. No Codes.

take it to a repair shop that has a smoke machine that can help find very small leaks in the EVAP system.

Computer problem
2001 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

the vehicle was smogged and a code was indicated 0456 Evap contol has a small leak.The engine light was illuminated and now it has gone out.
How and what tools are needed to check the evap system so this vehicle can pass smog

To catch this problem get the Evap system smoke tested
