Code p0441 and p0446. Changed purge valve solenoid, gas cap, EGR valve, checked all vacuum lines, and purge canister no issues with those. now have a rattling sound that might be coming from catalytic converter.

Hi,

Interestingly, I suspect it may be a faulty vapor pressure sensor. This is a theory at this point, but my rationale is based on the two different codes. The 441 indicates no pressure change in the charcoal canister when there should be. The second code indicates there is an open circuit at the vapor pressure sensor. So, if the sensor is faulty, there won't be any change in pressure registered.

Do me a favor. Locate the sensor (I attached pics below). It's near the canister. perform the tests I included below and let me know the results. This could be something as simple as a poor connection.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

joe
