I already replaced EVAP Canister and Gas gap still receiving same codes. Any ideas on what to do next? Fuel consumption rate is a little higher than normal from what I can tell. Some sluggish feeling, but honestly can't tell as I have been driving it this way for a while now.

Yep, so what happens is the purge solenoid is stuck open which draws too much fuel vapor and sometimes raw fuel which will cause all of these codes. Here is the location of the valve so you can replace it. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Great. I’ll get the part ordered and try that. Thank you!

Hello again,

So, I didn’t order the part, yet I wanted to test it first. So, I took out the hose from the purge valve and started the car. There was no vacuum until the car warmed up. Wouldn’t this mean it is not the purge solenoid? Since it didn’t open until the car warmed up?

I wanted to make sure as the part itself is about $50 and didn’t want to have to trouble shoot again if it wasn’t the purge solenoid. Thank you again. Y’all are great.

Yes, it sounds like the valve is okay, it would have to be stuck open continuously to affect the car.

P043E - "Evaporative Emission System Performance"

P043F - "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)"

P2401 - "Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit Low"

P2402 - "Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit High"

P2419 - "Evaporative Emission System Switching Valve Control Circuit Low"

These codes can be caused by a stuck valve. You said you replaced the canister, but you still have codes for the canister? The P2419 is pointing toward the purge or switch valve, (same thing). I would check the system for leak by inspecting the hoses for the EVAP system and then replace the valve. The only other thing I can think of is that you have a, but PCM which is failing to monitor the system.

Yes, I replaced the canister already and still pulling same codes. Also, when the codes come on the VSC light blinks as well. I’m not sure if it’s related or not.

But I’ll try and get a hold of a smoke test machine and replace Purge valve. Hopefully it fixes the issue.

It always amazes me how people are, we give good work for free, and they don't even get back us.

I replaced all parts from purge valve and smoke test. The smoke test didn’t show any leaks. Got a 3rd party mobile mech to take a look, and said it’s most likely my ECU. At that point I stopped working on it and riding it until it finally dies on me. Still kicking 2 years later same codes. I do only drive this car about 40 miles a month since I only use it for work (A to B, B to A)

I do apologize for not getting back to give an update. But since you made your comment 2 years later. There you go. Glad I’m a good human….
