erratic idling

once car warms up a little the tachometer drops from 1000 down to 300 and idle is very erratic. all of a sudden started doing this one day with no warning.

There might be other possibilities, If your check engine light came on, let me know and we will follow that lead.

Until then, lets look at this common possibility (usually the check engine does not come on).

While it is cutting up at low idle, just see if a little 'love tap" changes the rpm's behavior. This might verify that this may be the issue to pursue.
