EPS light Turns on

My car's EPS warning light turns on sporadically and the steering wheel gets so hard. What could be the matter? This is the second day. Please help.

Hello,

9 times out of 10 it will be the steering motor that is going out here is the location of the motor as you can check it out, but to be sure lets do a CAN scan which is the future of automotive repair you can get a CAN scanner from Amazon for about $50.00 here is a video to show you how.

My mechanic replaced the steering motor when this happened to me cost me $870.00 but at least it is running again.
