Engine starts and shuts off immediately after running out of diesel fuel

The vehicle listed above is a 2j100 (90-T350). The vehicle was working very well, it went out of diesel and shut off. filled diesel it starts and shuts off immediately, but if i am splaying quick start it starts and shuts off when I stop spraying and it can't rev.

It sounds like the fuel pump in the tank went out, this happens when the pump gets run dry, it burns the pump motor up. Here is how you can check it out to be sure with how to change out the pump in the diagrams below:
