Engine stalling when driving

We were driving the car and it seemed to cut out and then stopped all together, we had to pull to the side of the road to get it started again.
We checked the charging system and it is working good, the only thing I saw under the hood was the air box has a sensor in it and it was not plugged all the way in. Any ideas?

Any sensors not plugged in correctly can result in performance and stalling issues. Did problem recurs after sensor was installed correctly? Get a scan done to check for trouble codes and let us know what trouble code is recorded.

This is applicable even if your check engine light is not on.
