Engine sound

Hello,

This does sound like an engine that is low on engine oil and has a noisy valve train from lack of lubrication. In the diagrams down below I have included instructions from the vehicle manufacturer on how to properly check the engine oil in your vehicle. Please go through this guide and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Hi,

I checked the oil , it is okay.
I also changed the oil with new one Valvoline 0w20.
But still same sound.
Do you advise to change lifters of engine?

No, I wouldn't recommend that yet. I would recommend maybe putting in an additive,such as Lucas oil stabilizer. It makes the oil a little "clingier" for better lubrication of moving/rotating parts. Give this a try and get back to us with how everything turns out.

If the sound goes away then it will have solved the problem, there is no way to mask this. I suspect that this might be an ongoing problem with this engine because that weight of the suggested oil is low as far as recommended engine oil weights go.

I know i am annoying to you.
Last question please.
I took the car to Toyota service and told thus sound is normal for my car ,but i still feel it little annoying. i want ask as other option instead to the additive oil stabilizer.what about to change oil to 5w20 ? What do you prefer if you were me ??

The recommended oil weight for your vehicle is 0W 20. I have included the recommended oil type and capacity in the diagrams down below. I hope that this helps.

Today by chance i read the manual of my friend car who has Camry 2012 hybrid
That came to my country Jordan ( middle east) and it said the recommended oil is 10w30, while my car came from USA and recommended oil is 0w20.
Why the oil is not the same despite same engine , should i change the oil ???
In other words cars came to USA
Has different oil type to car came to middle east , so what to do in this case ,? Follow the USA manual despite the car now present in different place or country ??

Our reference, which comes from the vehicle manufacturer, recommends 0W 20 oil. It does say that you can use 5W 20, but you must switch it back to 0W 20 at the next service. I have no idea why the oil types are different in different countries. That does seem strange to me, but I can only recommend what the vehicle manufacturer recommends here.
