Engine revs high

When I start my car the idle is high like it is warming up but it stays high when driving then all of a sudden it will rev really high it will come back down after I keep giving it throttle. Also, it is hard to shift.

Hello,

This sounds like the IAC motor has carbon in it and it gets stuck. Here are two guides to help us find the problem and fix it:
