Engine rebuilt but car will not start

Hi,

I have just rebuilt my whole engine. I changed petrol pump, oil filter oil pump, new pistons redid the cylinder head etc. Car has not been running since January 2018. when you turn the key it cranks but does not start.
According to my mechanic he says the fuel injectors are not injecting fuel because the computer box has lost memory it needs taken to specialists to be reset.

My question is that, does the computer box lose memory after some time it has not been used?

The care should still start. It will relearn on its own.

If it is not starting, chances are there is no fuel or spark to the plugs. If the injectors aren't working, that would cause it.

Here is what I suggest: If the injectors are not getting power, it can be the result of the camshaft position sensor. Let's start there. Check and confirm they are not getting power. Here is a link that shows how to check the injectors are working:

If they are getting power, then we need to confirm that the fuel pressure is where it should be even though the pump is new. Here is a link that shows how that is done.

If the pressure is good and the injectors are working, check to confirm there is spark to the plugs.
