I just picked my car up from the shop to replace the serpentine belt and stop the oil leak in the head gasket. My car has a metal rod looking pipe coming from the engine. It looks out of place. The car makes a squeaking sound and a crashing sound if i hit any uneven pavement. I want to know what’s wrong with my car. And what does it need repaired to stop the sound? Should i take it back to the same mechanic or take it to an official Benz dealership?

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise and see what you are talking about? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. I would take it back to the shop that did the work first, if the problem is not resolved after the visit take it to the dealership and the shop that did the work will be responsible if the problem is their fault.
