diagnostics code p1337. Engine misfires at idle and on occasion engine light starts to flash and pollution warning comes up on the screen and shuts down that cylinder so only fires on three,if i turn ignition off and start up again it runs again but still with very slight misfire. I have had coil pack replaced twice, once with a genuine Peugeot one.

Injector replaced spark plugs replaced and a new ecu at a cost of 600 quid. Been to Peugeot dealers and even they cant find a fault. Please help

You have a mechanical problem ,compression needs to be done ,and a leak down test needs to be done, And if the dealer ask for a tear down, you need to agree, The cylinder heads blows easy.

My mechanic has told me its not misfiring despite the p1337 fault code, he said its just running lumpy at idle and is now going to replace both o2 sensors despite no codes being thrown for the sensors..

I have asked for compression and leak down test but he said there is no need to as the car runs fine at normal driving. I am totally out of ideas now unless this code has another meaning only Peugeot know about.

Hi Paul,
hope you get this message.
Did you ever solve your car issues?
We have exactly the same issues that you describe and at our wits
end. Peugeot also have been unable to identify the problem even though
we have so far spent over £600.

regards
Pete

Hello guys,

I have t he exact same issue.

Changed Sparks, Injectors, Coil and checked everything else (fuel pump etc.)

Thing is that 2 of the injectors just stop working even though they still receive 12v.

LPG WORKS FINE.
Yes, i have lpg and it works just fine, so its not about the compresion or anything that is common with the gas.

How did u fix it ?

Hello,

This problem can be resolved by installing a new crankshaft angle sensor which is what the codes states. Here is a guide to show you what you are in for when doing the job.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/crankshaft-angle-sensor-replacement

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Yes, it was a bad cambelt. It wasn't fitted right, one tooth was off. Horror story. Glad I fixed it.

If there is someone already here.
How is possible that 2 fuel injectors stops working after some misfires when on lpg?
Thanks

Yes i understand what you mean.
But no, it's not lpg and fuel injectors problem. Because it's running good in petrol, also good in high rpm when in lpg.
The problems starts in low/idle rpm, in the first misfire the petrol injectors are going off and there is engine light and fan running full speed.
It's looks more like incompatibility between petrol ecu and lpg ECU.
Someone had any similar experience?
Thanks

One of the users on this thread said it was the timing belt. Do you have a check engine light on? Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can see the engine run? that way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. We need to hear the noise so we know which direction to go to help you fix the car. It takes time to upload so please be patient.

I would do a compression test, also is the engine making a ticking noise?

Please go over this guide and get back to us.
