I'm experiencing no problems other than the light being on. Took to Toyota. They said the obd1. Diagnosis port. Isn't working. My question is, if it's a bad wire how can I find out where that wire goes and replace it with a new one?

Hi,

Lets confirm what they are saying. You don't need a scanner to test for codes. All that is needed is a jumper wire or even a paper clip.

Here is a link that explains how to retrieve codes:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/diagnostic-trouble-codes-for-1995-and-earlier-mazda-cars-obd1

Let me know what you find.
