Engine light turns on while driving

I drive the car listed above Corsa Light. whilst driving the engine light comes on and the kilometers clock disappears, when that happens it feels like the car I suffocating, when this happens the wipers wipe extra fast and the lights are extra bright. What could possibly be the problem?

Hello,

You will need to pull the Direct Trouble Code[DTC] from the vehicle via the Data Link Connector[DLC]. Here is a link below explaining how to do that:

We don't have information on your vehicle, but you can easily look up the code by doing a google search on it. Many codes are universal, though, so you can check here first, if you would like, and we can see if we can find it for you. From what you described in your question I would check your vehicle's voltage regulator, which is an internal part of the alternator in many vehicle's, but go with the DTC first.
