Okay, thanks.

That noise is lifters. I would do a manual oil pressure test to be sure you have the correct pressure to the top of the motor for the lifters.

None of those additives have any effect on noises.

If the pressure is 20 at idle and 40 at 1,500 RPMs, then you need a set of lifters.

So if I put Marvel Mystery Oil in at next oil change it wouldn’t benefit it at all? Can I use it in my gas too to keep it clean or no?

Should I still put the Marvel Mystery Oil in crankcase at oil change just to clean it and my gas then to make it run good?

Forget about the marvel mystery oil. It has little or no effect at all.

Check the oil pressure as I suggested.

I posted the specs a couple of posts back.

Idle should be 20 pounds. At 1500 it should be 40 pounds.

If the readings are good then you will need a set of lifters.

Can you tell me if you have the pushrod motor or overhead cam engine?

So if the readings are at that number then I need lifters. I do not know what kind of motor. it’s a 2011 F150 8 cylinder 5.0 if that helps isn’t if it’s at those numbers then there fine or no.

You can do the test yourself but if you never did this. it would be better to have a shop perform it.

You need to remove the oil pressure sensor and install the manual gauge.

Just ask them to check the oil pressure with a manual gauge.

I read that Marvel Mystery Oil helps clean everything, but I can’t find that oil around any stores by me. so like what brand is good besides that Mobil or Castrol or something? can I use full synthetic or no?

I would use the Mobil one fully synthetic for maximum protection.

Again, no, forget about the Marvel oil. It does nothing for you. The oil has all the additives you need.

Yes, I would not drive it as you may be doing internal damage to the motor. You need to have it checked as you may need a motor.
