Hello,

The car overheated today and all coolant went out right on top of transmission case a few minutes later after cooled down the gear stuck in fifth gear and the only code i read is engine input speed sensor range malfunction. changed the input speed sensor but transmission still on the same gear any help is highly appreciated.

thanks in advance

BTW: the car is 2007 Samsung SM7 which is not on your list. But it shares the same engine, transmission.

Hello,

This car has the CVT transmission which had problems with. I would service the unit with the specific fluid called for the CVT unit. Here is a guide to walk you through the steps. Now if it is too late the fluid change wont help but it is worth a try. If the transmission is slipping this code will remain.

Please run down this guide and report back.

FYI, the transmission was fine and all sensors and harnesses , wires and connectors as well.
the reason of this issue was the cam position sensor bank 2 (this car has 2 sensors ).
once i replaced it transmission back to normal and drive with no issue.

No other code were detected, but it says code was emitted by injection.
i scanned the engine unit found that one of cam shaft sensors not reading engine speed. i just replaced it as normal engine issue didn't expect it to be the reason to get transmission in limp in mode.
