engine idles fast (3200rpm) when in park

clean throttle plate on bot h sides with choke cleaner and check for vacuum leak. what were codes that were pulled.

I dont have the numbers on me but they were for the IAC and TPS
The car had a slight miss in it when i started but the idle wasnt high until I put the TPS and IAC parts in. I checked to make sure no vac hose were off or damaged. The car runs alsome when driving other than the tranny not shifting properly which also was ok shifting fine until the new parts were installed,

do what I recommended and you may have to drive the car about 40 mph sometimes ot set the iac so idle wil be ok.

ok cleaned it and still the same. The butter fly is closed and sealed and no kinks in the linkage jamming or anything.
Is there anyway that I could have installed the IAC or TPS wrong or is there any adjustment that needed to be made. I disconnected the neg battery terminal to clear the codes also.

NOTE: TP sensor is not adjustable on any model. Following procedure is only for TP sensor functional check.

Turn ignition off. Disconnect TP sensor 3-pin harness connector. See Fig. 1 or Fig. 2. Measure resistance between TP sensor connector terminals No. 2 and 3 (component side). Standard resistance value should be 700-3000 ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace TP sensor.
Measure resistance between TP sensor connector terminals No. 1 and 2 (component side). Open throttle valve slowly from idle position to wide-open throttle position. Resistance should changes smoothly in proportion to the throttle valve opening angle. If resistance change as specified, go to next step. If resistance does not change as specified, replace TP sensor.
Reconnect TP sensor harness connector. Connect Hi-Scan Pro tool or equivalent to OBD-II Data Link Connector (DLC). See Fig. 3. Turn ignition on and monitor for TP sensor PID value. Voltage should be 0.1-0.875 volts at idle position and 4.25-4.70 volts at wide open throttle. If voltage is not as specified, replace TP sensor
I tmay be another problem like a vacuum leak or maybe the egr is plugged or the valve is open partially.
