Engine cranks but does not start

Has spark, fuel OK. Checked injectors all good. New plugs, wires, distributor. It appears engine is flooding (getting to much fuel and not starting). Compression over 120 on all cylinders. Replaced fuel pressure valve. Not sure what it could be since getting spark and fuel.

First, has the check engine light come on? Have you checked to make sure the fuel pressure is within the manufacturer's specs? Do you have a real time scanner to check the coolant temp sensor? Is the spark at the plugs a hot blue snapping spark?

Scan shows no messages, Fuel pressure within man specs. Plugs have a good spark. Temp sensor good.

The only thing I can see is that the engine is flooding when starting. I thought bad fuel, dropped tank, pulled injectors, cleaned lines, replaced filter added new fuel. Still same problem. Replaced plugs (just in case). Btw when I pulled the injectors I tested and they all fire.

Had computer checked and its good.

Okay, if it is getting too much fuel, the pressure is correct, you have good spark, timing is correct and compression is good, check to see if the injectors are getting a pulse. See if the power to them is continuous or if it pulses.

Checked injection, its good, they are pulse spraying on time.

We are missing something. If everything I mentioned is working properly, the engine has no choice but to run. Are you certain the spark at the plugs is correct and a good hot spark? Think about it. If you get fuel into the combustion chamber, air makes it through the throttle body, there is a good hot blue snapping spark, good compression, and the ignition timing is correct, it has to run.

I can't disagree with you. I have a spark tester and it look strong. Not sure what to say but, as mentioned earlier the engine wont start. It sputters sometimes but wont start. I even thought it was water in the fuel. So I emptied tank, drained lines, added fresh fuel.

I am at a loss. ;-)

Had similar problem with 1976 mustang, it turned out after God knows how many hours of troubleshooting that the distributor shaft was cracked, replaced it and car started without a problem. I thought hey maybe, but replaced ditsy with reman and same problem.

Don't know what else to check. I even had the computer tested.

Do this and tell me what happens. Remove the fuse for the fuel pump and see if it will run for a couple seconds. If it doesn't, see if it will start for a couple seconds with starting fluid.
