Where is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor located?

There is more than one. One is used by the engine's computer (PCM) to control the air/fuel mixture (screwed into the engine block), and there is one in the radiator for the cooling fan operation.

It is really easy to replace. You will need to drain the coolant to below the height of the sensor so coolant isn't lost. Then it is nothing more than disconnecting the electrical connector and using a deep well socket, unscrewing the sensor, and screwing the new one in place.

If you want to do it yourself, I'll be here to help if needed. Also, if you tell me the symptoms you are experiencing, I can better point you in the right direction of the sensor in question.

Thank you, the information is very helpful. So, the symptom I experienced was my check engine light coming on. I took it to Orielly's and they were able to tell me the light was due to engine coolant temperature sensor. If possible, could you show me a picture of what the one I would need to replace looks like?

By chance, do you have the code they retrieved just so I can confirm? I suspect it is the one I mentioned above.
