This vehicle is my daughters, and it was acting funny shifting and stuff. I put my OBD Scanner on it and came up with a P0820, which confirms a shifting issue to me. To address this kind of repair, is it something that I can get into?

It sounds like the Transmission Range Sensor is not working, I have included the location and instructions on how to replace it in the images below.

The P0820 code in your 2017 Jeep Renegade indicates a potential issue with the Transmission Range Sensor/Switch Circuit.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks for reply, in the meantime I have contacted the dealership, and their service department has requested to bring car to them due to this may have caused issues with transmission itself and this whole issue may be covered under the warranty, but will be in touch as i find out, as always you guys rock, until latter Thanks again, H.K.

Hey Ken, sorry, life got in the way, anyhow, yeah you not going to believe it, but it looks like mice got at it and got enough insulation chewed off some wires and caused some minor computer issues a few hundred dollars and she was back up and running, sorry again for my absence.
