Engine check engine light code P1491

Still check engine light appeared even I changed the radiator fan control relay circuit and when going uphill it overheated. Appeared also on the engine check blinking 025 Erg and CAT. How can I resolve the problem?

Are the fans coming on? Also, what code was found to indicate the problem with the cat...?

The fan is not working when I let the car running for a while. There is no code on the cat or EGR only P1491. Is there any other relay or fuse to look up and where is it located? Thanks again.

The fan control relay which you replaced, is it located near the lower air box mount and the frame rail? See attached pic.

If you did and are sure the fan motors are good, I have a 3 page testing procedure to go through which requires scan tool that can actuate the control relay and at least a multi meter.

I changed again the radiator fan relay because code P1491 still on. At first the fan run ok and when car run for a while it overheated again no fan running and code P1491 appeared again. Checked the fuses, all ok'd and only battery is discharging I have to charge it . Alternator is ok, radiator cap ok, water pump ok Radiator fan relay keep blowing up. Please help.

If the relay keeps blowing, chances are the cooling fan motor is drawing too many amps.
