Engine: My number two cylinder is not getting any fire. I took my car to a mechanic, he test it out by using a pressure valve (it looks like a blood pressure culf). It was only getting 30 compressor an not more like it suppose to. It do misfire when you drive the car. I want to get the engine rebuild but I don’t know if it would be better to get a new engine or get it rebuild?

Fuel pump: Where you put the gas nozzle at to pump your gas in the car is broke. I have to fix it before I can put the nozzle in to pump the gas. Plus I can smell gas even though I don’t see any gas leak or anything. My gas do runs out quick too. Do I need a new fuel pump or what?

Hi:

As far as the engine issue, it really matters what needs done to restore compression to that cylinder. If it is only compression, there may be a stuck valve or a head gasket issue. Did the mechanic diagnose why the pressure is low? Also, if you could upload a picture of what you are referring to as far as damage to the fuel filler area, it may help me.

Let me know.

Hello,

The fuel filler question needs to be separate from the low compression issue. It sound like you could have a broken valve spring. Here are the reasons for low compression:

Please run down this guide and report back.
