Can my lines be crossed on the oil cooler? Or is oil cooler or something else?

Honestly, if nothing was recently worked on, they couldn't have been crossed. However, what you are describing sounds more like a bad head gasket. Take a look through this link. It discusses common symptoms of a bad head gasket.
