engine, where does the dot position go?

took the front cover off the timing case or w.e and saw it had the oil pump on it i took that off as well my question is the 2 gears 1 gear the outer one has a dot or what looks like an indicator circled dot the middle gear doesn't not. My question is where does the dot position go?

Hello,

Before the oil pump gets removed, it should be marked on the case to help with the position. As it does not have a designated position on the manual. The idea is to mark the case before removal so when installing you simply have to line up with the mark that was made, as that can be any orientation/position.

I have attached the replacement procedure below for your reference.
