My battery wont charge. I have replaced battery, alternator, and camshaft position sensor. Jump car because battery is still not charging. It intermittently charges with intermittent battery light coming on. Rpm's will shoot up to 1500 to try to charge it but wont. then if I put it in drive it shutters and wont give me power at the gas pedal but will stay running. lights and dash gauges will go on and off. I am lost at this point on what else to do. no check engine light at anytime!

Yes, have it checked first. it almost sounds like there may be a computer data wire that is receiving interference since you have so many lights and gauges going crazy, plus the shift in rpm's. This car does have CAN BUS data lines for communication between PCM's and the ECM.

Hey sorry it took awhile to respond, it's my wife's car so she procrastinated on getting it to the dealership. But it's the computer not sending correct information and causing the car not to handle electrical loads. It's being reprogrammed and will be replaced if reprogramming doesn't work. Thanks for all the help!

Make sure you get full details on what they find, you want to know exactly what was going on with the car so you don't have a repeat. If there's a electrical short somewhere that's messing with the computer, you don't want the new computer to get burned out either, a bad ground will cause all kinds of ECM problems that can be a simple fix too, so don't let them fool you into spending a ton of money.

Just lookin out for ya..

It's too bad our society runs on money, it should run on just helping people. That's my 2 cents :)

Unfortunately it's not, most things I can do myself or my brother in law can come over and walk me through it and it just costs parts and a pizza but this is out of our knowledge and expertise
