30 amp EEC and fuel pump fuse keeps popping

The 30 amp EEC and fuel pump fuse under the hood keeps popping and has flow of 12 volts with the fuse removed the other side shows 2 volts on the voltmeter. what should i check now and are there any wiring diagrams available?

I would disconnect the inertia switch and see if the fuse still fails.

If it does, it could be the fuel pump. If it does not then it could be the ECM or wiring at the ECM.

The inertia switch is located on the LH side of trunk, below air suspension electronic control module.

Okay, thank you. if that doesn't work are there any other wiring diagrams you can send me for the ECM? do you think it could be a short somewhere?

It ran for like 30 seconds then the fuse popped when i revved it up i unplugged the inertia switch with the key out it blew the fuse right away there is a computer mounted above the radiator fan that vibrated and made a noise for a second any suggestions where to look next.

Okay, then it is not the fuel pump.

Unplug the fan controller and see if the fuse still fails.

That is the piece on top of the radiator shroud.

Roy

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove radiator sight shield.
2. Disconnect electrical connector, then remove integrated relay control assembly from radiator support.
3. Disconnect electrical fan connector, then separate connector located at top of fan shroud.
4. Remove male terminal connector clip from shroud mounting tab, then remove air bag crash sensor.
5. Remove fan shroud from radiator.
6. Lift cooling fan module to disengage from lower radiator clip and end tab.
7. Slide cooling fan module clear of radiator hose connector, then remove two engine wire harness clips from side of fan shroud. Lift module past radiator.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque shroud to radiator nuts and bolts to 36 inch lbs.

Unplugged the fan controller tried to start it would not start but did not blow the fuse. plugged it back in started it and it blew the fuse instantly. could there be an issue with the wiring or is the fan controller the issue?

The fuel pump relay is part of the module. That is why it would not start.

It is a very common failure.

Replace the module.

Description

The EEC Module receives signals from the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Vehicle Speed Sensor, and Clutch Cycling Pressure Switch to determine if the Electric Cooling Fan should be activated. When conditions are met to activate the Electric Cooling Fan, the EEC Module will provide a signal to energize the EDF Relay (2.3L and 3.0L) or HEDF Relay (3.0L only) and operate the Cooling Fan.
