Ski resort staff offered to jump start our car which had lights left on. It looks like they hooked up the cables reverse polarity. They noticed that the main 100 amp fused had blown so we replaced that. Then the engine would turn over but would not start. I am guessing that something on the ignition/computer side is out. Any thoughts where we should start looking?

good morning.

The bad part is that feedback from hooking them up wrong burns out modules. you will need to check all the other fuses as well to see if any have failed.

As far as testing, you will need to see if the computer is communicating with the engine. you need a advanced scan tool to perform this operation.

I suggest having a shop diagnose this issue first to see what is damaged and what has survived the cross cables.
