Car turns over will not start no spark from coil
Removed positive wire from ignitioin switch to coil. Added jumper wire from positiive coil terminal to starter solinoid car starts. Ineed to remove wire to shut car off. I am changing the ignition switch first. How do I remove the ignition key cylinder from the electrical part of the switch. I removed the 2 centering wires. there is a pin on cylinder I press it down but nothing releases the cylinder. What should I do to release the cylinder to put it it into the knew switch?

put key In ignition turn to accessory and use paper clip to push pin for removal. there is a resistance wire that runs from ignition switch to coil. the wires behind switch used to burn up at switch and there was a repair kit for that I still have two least I think they are the correct ones let me know if you want it. it's a connector with wires so all you have to do is splice it in. I t has round pins. if the lock doesn't want to come out that way turn to run.

I put a jumper wire from the + side of the coil to the ignition switch and the care started right up. I would like to get one of the repair kits. How much is it and how do I pay you? With a check?

that still may not be the problem. like I said the ignition switch repair kits aren ot available I just had 2 in my tool box i'll just send one to you but let me know if ignition switch has round pins in back as that is what this connector is for. if you have flat connectors it won't work let me know and i'll send it in morning. all wires are color coded.
