Head unit/reverse camera installation, now when I start up the engine, it will not drive forward when in drive, or reverse when put in reverse?

I am doing a DIY head unit/reverse camera installation. I have followed instructions. I have not put the front of car back together yet as there are remaining wires from car that do not attach to new unit. The problem: When I start up the engine, it will not drive forward when in drive, or reverse when put in reverse. No problem with the car before this. I have not connected the hazard lights yet and like I mentioned there is a wire and plug that was attached to the old unit, they now have nothing to plug into. I tried to unplug the new harness and adapter so I could put the old unit back in. But it was a very tight fit to get a new harness into car plug, and now I can't unplug it. I tried adding photos but it does not seem to work.

I had a better photo, but it seems I can add only one and cannot rotate it to the right way up. You can see a red wire still attached from the car to the old harness.

Next to red wire is a black plug with foam casing around it which is connected to the 'grey plug' with yellow wire and two more wires. It plugged into the old unit.

Next to black plug with foam casing is a Brown Plug from car that used to plug into the old unit.

The smaller white plug on the far left is the hazard light which I haven't plugged in yet. And I'm wondering if my car won't drive forward or in reverse is because of one of the plugs not being plugged into anything. Car start up fine, engines sounds good, but when I put it into drive or reverse, feels like the brakes are on.

Yes, that is why the car is not going into gear, most electrical systems are part of the CAN I would remove the aftermarket wiring and reconnect the factory wiring to see if the problem goes away. If so, you know the aftermarket unit/harness is the problem. Please let me know.
