Aftermarket electric tailgate installation

i don't have electric tailgate on my vehicle. i am planning to add one aftermarket.

They have tutorial video as well.
my only concern is in my original switch i don't have the button for opening tailgate.

if i buy the full switch assembly online will the aftermarket tailgate work with the same original wiring harness or not. i don't want to add the aftermarket switch inside the car as it requires another drilling.
has anyone tried this?

Good morning,

The aftermarket tailgate will not work with the factory system at all. It will be a separate system totally independent from the factory harness and controlled by the wiring provided.

A switch will be required to make it work for your van.
