I had my alternator go out and changed it, yes I was sure the alternator was the issue, so I changed it. i made sure to connect everything correctly and now there’s no electricity to the car. I found a wire that runs from the same grouping as the alternator that isn’t connected to anything and I can’t find its home.

Good morning,

Can you upload a video or pictures of the wire that is hanging free? I attached a diagram for you to view.

Do you have power to the alternator from the battery?

Is the yellow cut back by the alternator? It looks like the wire is cut.

No all the wires to the alternator are connected and in tact.

Is that a used alternator or did you not change out yet?

Do you have power to the alternator wire from the battery? You need 3 wires with power to the alternator. Can you verify that?

Please send as many as you can. The diagrams I have are generic and I would like to see what you see.

Then check the fuse block for a high amp fuse. Test it on both sides with a test light.
