Where is the EGR Valve located?

Hi,

I'm not sure which engine you have, so I attached two pics below, one of each engine.

This doesn't appear to be a traditional EGR valve. Actually, my manual refers to them as electronic recirculation control valves (ERCV).

Take a look at the picture and let me know your thoughts.

Hey Joe! Hope you have a good holiday weekend! I have the 1.6L engine. I don't know if we're on the same page, as the parts list I am attaching lists the assembly as EGR, and the diagram I am attaching shows it in a different location. I do appreciate the help, and you have a whole computer graphic on my engine, so any help you give is met with gratitude.

Yep, we are on the same page. Your pic shows the entire EGR cooler assembly components. See pic below.

I hope you have a good Labor Day as well. Today, we had a family gathering and ground bees attacked me. My face looks like a beach ball. Ugh!!! Man does it hurt.

Sucks about the bees!! Otherwise, I'm glad it was good haha. Could you use your program to point out where the assembly is when it's on the engine? Just so I don't go taking off extra stuff when I get the parts haha.

I attached directions for replacing the EGR cooler which includes the EGR valve. Based on the list you provided as ordered parts, it looks like you are doing it all.

Take a look and let me know if this helps. Also, bleeding air from the cooling system seems to be somewhat of a nightmare. They have directions using Kia's specific scan tool and without that tool. I did attach the bleed procedure without the tool for you.
