Is the EGR control solenoid on a 2.8 the same on a V-8?

EGR vac solenoid having a hard time trying to find this part, can you help me?

If you mean the electric solenoid that is in the vacuum line, the 2.8 version should have 3 vacuum lines on it. One comes from the manifold to the solenoid, then there should be one going to the EGR plus another on that same outlet that goes back to the controller and triggers the vacuum switch in it. The V8 version only has 2 connections on it so they are not interchangeable. However, it might be possible to make the V8 version work if you used pieces removed from the 2.8 version and added a T fitting to the line going to the EGR.
Basically, the T would replace the built in connection on the 2.8 version. The only other issue would be if they used an orifice in the vacuum inlet side. I believe the V8 did but not sure with the 2.8. It would be visible looking into the ports that are on the valve like the last image. Note how GM actually used a very similar valve but blocked the other port on the V8 version. The T would add that port back.

On my car the solenoid has two wires coming out going to a vacuum switch that plugs in the 4 prong plug in the ECU. The wires are broken, any idea how to fix it? I can't solder it and can't find the part anywhere. Please help can't fix my car without it. Thanks

Could you take a picture of the broken part? It sounds like it's the connector itself, but if it's the solenoid then you can adapt the V8 version to it using a T fitting in the line. If the wires that are broken are the ones that plug into the solenoid then you just need a pigtail connector to replace the broken ones.
