EGR tube/pipe fitting

Just bought an NOS EGR tube/pipe to replace the original I broke. I need to know where I can get a replacement fitting with the threads that screws into the pipe. The pipe fitting has two sided threads with a nut and connects into the pipe than into the exhaust manifold.

Try a dealer, or a hydraulic hose fitting business, they may be able to help. one other option is if you have a wrecker locally that may have your make and model being stripped.

Can you just remove the fitting from the old hose? it unscrews.

Ken, I tried that even with a torch would not come loose. This pipe was never removed before that is why I need a new fitting.

The fitting looks like a half pipe to a half inverted flare fitting you might need to do to the wrecking yard thing.

I found some places that specialize in fittings. But I would have to send out the fitting for them to make one direct fit.

Those tend to gall pretty bad. But all is not lost. Clamp the fitting in a vise and use a hack saw to cut a slot down the side of the fitting, Do not cut all the way across, you just want to cut to the threads, then split the nut and remove it. The critical area is the spot where the flare on the pipe sets so if you did cut into a few threads it will not be an issue.

Good news went to the auto parts store today and the older guy knew exactly what size I needed. He didn’t have anymore in stock but I do have the part number. I will look for that and stock on them.
