Hello,

Getting p1669 code. Not sure if it is ECU or ECM.

Can you supply photo of ECM replacement part?

That is the code for the ECM cooling fan. It is behind the ECM and draws air through it to cool the ECM if it gets hot. To get to it you need to remove the ECM and the fan is between it and the firewall. The only place I know of to get the replacement is the dealer. The fan is a replaceable item.

You remove the screws for the cruise control servo, then the cover over the ECM, pull the ECM out of the clips and the fan will be there. The common issue is that the fan gets full of crud so it does not turn. I would try blowing it out with air first. The two wires to it are brown with pink trace (positive power from fuse 26) and black with pink trace (switched ground from the ECM). To test the fan just apply battery power to those leads with the positive lead to the brown/pink wire.
