1993 Eagle Vision Wiper Linkage Slave

Hi Micki, Thank you for the donation. Here are the procedures. The ball joint remover is the only special tools required but you can make do with screwdrivers. LINKAGE ASSEMBLY Removal & Installation 1. Remove wiper arms and blades, disconnect hoses from in-line connectors. Ensure in-line connector is retained for reassembly. Remove rear hood seal with cowl top plastic screen and disconnect washer hose at in-line connector. Save in-line connector. Using a ball joint/tie rod separator, disconnect wiper arm linkage. Separate ball cap from ball. See Fig. 10 . 2. To remove cap(s), place cap shoulder over a socket larger than shoulder and tap cap into socket. To replace cap use a socket larger than cap. Place linkage on socket, install cap into position over socket and tap on the shoulder of cap to lock it into position. See Fig. 11 . There are 2 types of cap, one for a round ball and one for a round ball with a pin on top. See Fig. 12 . For installation, reverse removal procedure.

Thank you very much KHLow. Was hoping to just take the bushing out of the linkage slave and put it on the car, but can't seem to remove it without destroying the bushing. So, am very thankful to your reply. I will now go attempt to put it together while the rain has stopped. Thanks again, Micki

You were an awesome help! I bought the wrong arm, but since I had the other arm out, just popped both bushings out of the new one and used them on the existing arm. So glad that you showed demonstrations. I would never have thought of using a socket to pop out the bushings. Thank you again!
