1996 Eagle Talon ecu?

i have a 1996 eagle talon tsi, at first when i was having problems, it would take a while to start, and if i did get it started, it would only run if my foot was on the gas, but now it wont even start, and the silver box i believe the ecu on my firewall makes a horrible clicking noise when the key is in the on position. whats wrong?

Ok, your ECU is not on the firewall, it is located right behind the radio. the silver little box located on your firewall is the resistor box for the fuel injectors. it is held on by 2 bolts and has a harness coming off that plugs into another harness and that is it.
