1991 Eagle Talon oil pressure

I installed a oil pressure gauge and sender. when im idling it shows my oil pressure is 100 psi and when i touch the gas is maxes out. i didnt do anything else except remove the old sender and installed the new one.

Make sure all of your wires are hooked up properly and none are loose or faulty. If all is good here, try disconnecting your ground cable for 5 minutes to see if the computer needs to be reset for the new sender to work properly.
