Will not start

The sputtering out points to a fuel issue so we need to pursue this a little more.

Let's start with checking the fuel pressure and make sure you have proper pressure. Here is a guide that will help with this:

If the pressure is ok then we need to go after the spark that may not be there. When you pulled the plug did you hold it against the block and crank the engine? If so, you need to see a strong blue spark. If you did not see that then we have an ignition issue. So let's make sure we double check this because if we are not sure it will send us down the wrong path.

As for not relearning the crank, that is ok for now. It should not prevent the start. It may cause some running issues but not a no start.

Lastly if we prove out that we have fuel and spark or weak spark, we need to change the plugs as they may fouled which will cause a no start as well. So if there was a crankshaft position sensor issue and you fixed it, then we may have fouled plugs now. When the engine cranks with no spark but has fuel, it fouls the plugs and causes them to have a weak or no spark.

I tried the spark plug to engine block with new plug on coil and new spark plug no spark at all.

I also replace ignition switch thinking it was it but forgot to unhook battery.

Okay. If we have no spark and the CKP and CMP sensor have been replaced then we need to make sure the theft light is not on (doubtful but just making sure).

If this is not a theft issue then I suspect we have an issue with the PCM but we should have some codes to confirm this. So I would not recommend replacing it until we get codes and go from there.

I had it towed to Car X and it ended up being the pigtail going to the crankshaft sensor. So its up and running. Thank you for your help.
