My car began a horrible screech and grind under the car. After having it towed in to dealer, I was told the axle was bad and needed replaced. I was told this would be $460.00 for all. I found this to be high but needed it fixed. The next day I was told after they replaced axle, that it was not the problem (but that it was still bad) and I needed a new driveshaft, and this would be $900.00 alone just for this and another couple hundred (only) to put on since they had it apart.
Everyone I have talked to has told me I should pay not even close to that much for a driveshaft for car and that also the axle was likely misdiagnosed .
