My driver side window wont go down most times but last night I left my ignition forward by mistake and when I went out this morning the battery was dead and the window was down. It will go back up but not down. Is this a relay problem? If so what relay do I replace?I first thought it was a switch and replaced that a couple weeks ago and still had the same problem so it shouldn't be the switch. Also I can hear my engine lag a little (while it is running) when I push the window button up but not when I push it down.

Hello,

This could be a problem with your Generic Electronic Module (GEM) which is located on the left side of your vehicle's dashboard. I have included your vehicle's power window wiring diagrams as well as a diagram of the GEM module's location in the diagrams down below. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex

What else can I check? I dont know how to check this and it's a pretty expensive part to replace especially if it's not bad.

Hello again,

In the diagrams down below I have included the testing instructions for the GEM module. You will need to have a New Generic Star Tester to do the diagnostic testing, though. You should be able to find one on Ebay for a reasonable price. Please keep us informed as to how things are progressing.

Thanks,
Alex
