Driver side blend door actuator location needed

Have Dual climate control. Currently blowing hot air on drivers side regardless of temperature setting, but passenger side responds to all controls as normal. I have located the passenger side blend door actuator that responds to temperature settings just fine and also the recirculate actuator. Both are behind the glove box and both work fine. I have also located the actuator that controls air flow from defrost through chest-level to foot level, all works fine and that is behind the panel and plate under the steering wheel (left hand drive). What I cannot find is the blend door actuator that controls air flow on the drivers side based on temperature setting. Can you help? (300 L model)

Removal:

Warning: on vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in an accidental airbag deployment and possible personal injury.


1. Open hood and disconnect the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post.
2. Remove the left and right underpanel silencer/ducts.

3. Remove the two screws from the actuator which are accessible from the right side of the center stack.
4. Remove one screw from actuator on the left side.
5. Pull the actuator straight down from shaft and disconnect the electrical connection. Upon removal, note the shaft position of the actuator, because the shaft on this motor is keyed. When installing a new actuator, its shaft must be positioned in the same location.

Installation:
1. Connect the wire harness connector to the blend door actuator.
2. Install the blend door actuator on the HVAC housing, making sure its keyed shaft is positioned properly.
3. Install the three fastener screws and tighten to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
4. Install the left and right underpanel silencer/ducts.
5. Connect the negative battery cable remote terminal to the remote battery post.

Does this imply the 2006 Chrysler 300L only has one blend door actuator that controls temperature for right (passenger) and left (driver) side? I know the blend door actuator behind the glove box controls the temperature on the passenger side, nothing happening on driver side. Is there a separate blend door actuator or not? Thanks.

Okay, the dual control L series does have the drives bland door behind the glove box.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. See: Battery > Service and Repair
2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel. See: Glove Compartment > Service and Repair
3. Remove the three screws (1) that secure the blend door actuator (2) to the passenger side of the HVAC air distribution housing (3).
4. Remove the blend door actuator from the air distribution housing and disconnect the HVAC wire harness connector (4) and remove the actuator from the vehicle.
