I today opened my car door on to a pavement and a cyclist rode in to it. It didn't seem to cause a problem until I tried to close the door. The door seems to of dropped by maybe 2\3 cm. I can close and open it but only with a slam.
If I jacked the door up using a piece of wood to in effect bend the door back up would this be OK? Or is there an easy way to adjust the door? I assume there must be a way to adjust the door, but I can't really afford to pay what I assume would be a lot of money. The car is a mark 4 (I think 2003) golf.
