I replaced the evap solenoid as it was throwing a code. Now that I erased the code, and the Autel519L shows all lights green and sent a test message to the ECM, how long do I drive it to make sure its working correctly and that the repair was correct?

If it is showing all of the readiness monitors complete including the EVAP test you should be good to go. That one should have the IM button that shows the tests. X means they haven't run, green check means they have.

It's my observation that the old evap solenoid was the original or maybe a replacement that predated my ownership, maybe 5 years old. I couldn't blow through it, so that part worked still, but it threw a code and it seems like it may have just electronically malfunctioned which the new one now replaced. Does the electronics fail sometimes and not the rubber diaphragm inside?

The coil can burn out or they can stick closed as well. Multiple failure modes. It could even be a bad connection that the process of removing and replacing can clean enough that it works. The normal test is to use a scan tool to signal it open and closed if it works you have control over it and it is working. To test without a scan tool you apply battery voltage to the two contacts and see if the valve cycles open and closed as you apply and remove the power feed.
