doors will not latch on drivers side

Hi Cheryl, there is actually a recall on these vehicles related to this. There is a pawl spring tab that breaks and results in the door not latching. You really should contact a Ford dealer and have them check to see if the recall is related to your vehicle. I believe it is. Since it is a recall, there shouldn't be a charge.

The dealership will ask for your VIN number, so have that prepared. Because of the type of safety issue related to this, there shouldn't be a mileage or time limitation (within reason) that prevents you from having it done.
