Door pannel removal

Here is everything related to the front door panel. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

Removal and installation of door liner on driver's door

Replace missing or damaged clips (arrows) on door liner (7).

Before installing the door liner check the vapor seal (14) on the inner door panel and replace, if damaged.

After clipping in the Bowden cable check the Bowden cable adjustment on the door liner. Adjust Bowden cable (11) with knurled screw (12) on the mount (13) so that when the door interior actuating mechanism is pulled the handle still has 5 mm of travel after the rotating catch on the door lock opens

When installing the door liner hook the plastic hooks (arrow) onto the inner door panel, simultaneously guide the locking button (15) through the door liner and insert the door liner into the clips (5 each) at the top of the window shaft.

Replace missing or damaged pins (arrow) for fastening chrome trim panel (4).

Removal, Installation

1. Open crank window.
2. Pivot armrest above door pocket up.

3. Press off cover (1) on exterior mirror holder with plastic wedge and remove upward.

4. Pull door sealing frame (2) out of groove in area of chrome trim panels (3 and 4).
5. Remove screws (2 each) on chrome trim panel (3) and remove chrome trim panel upward.
6. Remove screws (6 each) on chrome trim panel (4) and remove chrome trim panel (4) toward rear (2 clips).

7. Pull out plugs (arrows) in area of door pocket with awl and screw out screws below (3 each).

8. Press cover (arrow) off in area of front of door pocket with plastic wedge and remove.

9. Screw out screw (arrow) off inside of door handle.
10.Unclip door entry light (6) on door liner (7) and pull off connections.

11.Press door liner (7) off of inner door panel at bottom rear and front with plastic wedge (arrow). Position plastic wedge immediately next to clips to pry (10 each).

12.Pull door liner (7) out of groove starting at top rear while simultaneously pulling door liner (7) away from inner door panel at bottom.

13.Unhook Bowden cable hook (11) on door interior actuating mechanism, unclip Bowden cable mount (13) on housing for door interior actuating mechanism and pull out.

14.Disconnect plug connections (arrows) on seat adjustment switch (9).
15.Lay down door liner while guiding wires for entry light (6) through door liner.
16.Reassemble in opposite order. Observe installation note.
17.Check for proper function.
