Door locks constantly clicking, locking and unlocking

Hello,

I have included information in the form a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for your vehicle of a recall for the Body Control Module (BCM) wiring harness. Please contact your local dealership's service department about this recall, and keep us informed as to how everything turns out.

Actually, I have my original notification about this recall, GM Recall #13036. My notice is dated July 2014 and I show it completed by Skinner's Chevrolet, Buick, GMC Terry, MS in September 2014.

As a matter of fact, I received a second Recall notice 3-4 weeks later concerning a potential problem which was transmission shift cable was at risk for fracturing.

Both recall notice issues were completed on the same day by the same preferred dealer specified above.

I haven't had any other recall notifications about either previous issues or any new issues.

So what should I do now?

Okay, I wasn't sure if you know about the TSB for the recall or not. Is your Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or "check engine" lamp illuminated?

As a matter of fact, the check engine light came on about a week before this started.

Also, the lock/unlock button on the driver's door has quit working so I have to use the passenger door button to unlock the other doors.

I would say it's funny how things fall apart at the same time. But I already had more than enough to repair that the locks issue just did me in. I've almost convinced myself to just leave it all alone and when the car is done, it's scrap.

I honestly just can't afford the extra expense and I'm just not willing to continue putting money into a bottomless pit.

I sincerely appreciate all the help, but after careful thinking, facing 2-3 weeks of down time and about $3,500.00 minimum for parts and doing it myself at night after work, I'm just plain done with the car and it's never ending problems.

Okay, I'm sorry to hear about your vehicle. If you change your mind and decide to fix the locks, just shoot that Direct Trouble Code(s)(DTC)(s) over to us and we will send you factory directions to test and fix the problem(s). We are here for you guys.
